I like the way you save money on lumber by not having to make corners by studding them out. In renovating jobs, the time you can make up by using the NAILER on repairs makes them a breeze.

I used this product and found it to be adequate. I used it on a job were I had no way to nail or screw up to the drywall. This product was perfect, it made a bad situation into a good one.

I would recommend the NAILER because:
You are saving cost of the extra wood needed for corner support. You are saving the time of cutting and nailing the extra corner stud. You will be insulating outside walls better when not using the extra stud. Although the NAILER doesn't look like much, it does provide excellent support.

I used the NAILER for repairing a bathroom wall that had to be cut open t access plumbing. I used the NAILER to reattach the sheet rock back into place. The NAILER made the job quick and easy.

This product was used to complete drywall in my basement. I built & designed my own home and needless to say, there were areas where I hadn't planned ahead for drywall. The NAILER solved several problems by allowing me to support sheet rock with out adding 2x4's in tight places. The product was easy to use.

Wood Paneling
I would recommend the NAILER for the simple reason of the time it saves on installing drywall. Instead of having to drag out the circular saw, saw horses, and clamps, all you need is a tape measure and good staple gun. I used the NAILER to help hang drywall at my sister's house in an extra room that was added on. Everyone was impressed with the product. We also used it to back wood paneling in the corners used with a spot of liquid nails.

***I used the NAILER to hang drywall on my basement ceilings. The product was used in place of a 2x4. I was surprised on how solid the drywall was when fastened. The NAILER is real easy to use. I can see where the NAILER would be good to use on remodeling jobs.

The NAILER vs. Metal Clips
I do not have a drywall installation project at the present time, so I only tested it on a mock up situation. I was impressed with how easy the NAILER stapled on to the wood. It also made a firm support. I have used metal clips in the past and I think this product is far superior to the metal clips. With the NAILER, you have the choice of screwing the drywall to the clip if you desire. You do not have that option with the metal clip.

I used the NAILER to back drywall in a bathroom that I was finishing. The NAILER was a lot easier to use then lumber strips and didn't split like narrow wood strips do sometimes. The NAILER made finishing corners faster and easier.

The testing of the NAILER was on a very limited basis. However, it is obvious from the preliminary testing that it would have many advantages when installing sheet rock or drywall on new construction. The name perhaps is a little misleading, but it does provide a very good back-up to anchor the sheet rock or drywall. The grid also serves as a very good starting point to prevent the wondering of the screw used for mounting the material. The use of the NAILER in place of extra framing will also provide better insulating capabilities. These plastic parts appear to have tremendous amount of strength and will resist breaking. Since these are manufactured from recycled plastics, it will tend to conserve our lumber supplies. It also was apparent the color black made the NAILER a very good contrast when used on new construction lumber.
